Thank you for stopping by to take a look at these photographs
I've aways been interested in nature and wildlife, back in 2001 I was able to experience a safari in Africa for the first time and I got seriously hooked on the wildlife and photography, starting with film and then progressing on to digital. I've not looked back since and have been able to travel to Africa, India and many other countries to photograph beautiful animals and birds in their natural environment.
When I've not been able to travel to other countries I look to find opportunities to photograph wildlife in this country. I have had many great experiences and would recommend the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent as a great organisation providing photographic experiences and big cat conservation. They are currently in the process of building permanent homes for five lions they have been able to rescue from the war in Ukraine.
The photograph on the left here is of 'Craig'. He resides just outside Amboseli National Park where I visited earlier in 2024. Craig is a truly magnificent elephant, now in his 50's, he is a true gentle giant and one of the last few 'super tuskers'. It was encouraging to see the local Masai people keeping an eye on these beautiful elephants and trying to prevent them from crossing into Tanzania where trophy hunting, very sadly, still takes place.
Best Wishes
